Welcome To Castlefest!!!

weather forecast is at this moment friday 22 saturday 25 and sunday 22 some rain possible at sunday !!

From the parking from the hotel it is only 7km to the parking of the festival grounds (9 minutes by car)!! from there it is a 500 meter walk to the entrance !!

I presume you go to the hotel first to check in!

best route to the festivalgrounds is when leaving the parking of the hotel , turn to the right onto the road , after 30 meters turn to the right again, after 2,1 km the road will make a right turn, after 3,5 km you will go under the route national , at the roundabout go straight ahead , continue the road , at 5,5 km you will pass a railroad intersection, at 6.6 km you are at the entrance of the playground, follow the road for another 500 meter and turn to the left onto the parking !!

tickets for the parking can be bought at the ticket offices (about 3,50 a day, best to buy for 3 days at once )

Eating and drinking on the festivalground are payed with Vana coins, each coin represents a value of 2 euro's , you can buy them at the ticket office or at a Marked location near the music podium .

When getting drinks or meals , it is mostly served in earthenware beakers and plates , you pay a deposit of 2 coins for each item (beaker or plate) , after eating you can bring your plate beaker to the collection point and get your deposit back ( or keep the beakers and plates , they make a nice and usefull souvenir with the Castlefest loco on it , will post a foto of them this evening )

all the coins that are left on sunday you can give back at the ticket office , and get your money back !!

we normally buy the first day 50 coins (100euro) and return what is left on sunday !
